NFL Speaks Out Against Chiefs Kicker Harrison Butker’s Controversial Speech

The NFL is speaking out after the Kansas City Chiefs kicker, Harrison Butker, delivered a controversial speech at a college graduation over the weekend. In a statement to ‘People,’ the NFL’s Vice President and Chief Diversity and Inclusion Officer, Jonathan Beane, says Harrison’s beliefs ‘are not those’ of the organization. During his commencement address, Harrison seemingly called out President Biden’s policies and ‘dangerous gender ideologies.’ His speech also drew flack from fans when he quoted Taylor Swift’s ‘Bejeweled,’ after sharing he believes a woman’s most important role is ‘homemaker.’
