In June, the Otero County Commissioners in New Mexico refused to certify their county’s primary election results citing concerns over voting machines. The Secretary of State sued and forced two of them to comply, but Couy Griffin wouldn’t budge. Now Griffin is the first public official to be booted from office in connection with participation in the January 6th insurrection. Liz Landers looks at how a few election deniers in key local posts could refuse to certify future election results.
