Monica De La Cruz made history by becoming the first Latina and first Republican to win Texas Congressional District 15. De La Cruz has touted the Great Replacement Theory, is anti-choice and was endorsed by Former President Donald Trump. Although Latinos didn’t fuel a red wave in South Texas, Republicans made inroads with De La Cruz.
