Wack100 stated that despite Drake’s fame and seniority, it’s Kendrick Lamar who now reigns as the King of Hip-Hop. Wack100 nostalgically recalled how Kendrick opened for Drake in the early stage of his career, yet he now surpasses Drake on Spotify charts. He countered arguments surrounding Drake’s cultural authenticity, defending Drake against criticism for his use of the N-word, and emphasized the rapper’s Black heritage. Additionally, Wack100 expressed disapproval of the tendency to racialize genres and discussions revolving around Drake’s Jewish upbringing. The manager emphasized the various facets and influences within Hip-Hop, pushing back against racial exclusivity within the genre, citing the Beastie Boys, Eminem, and Fat Joe as Hip-Hop artists from diverse backgrounds. He further suggested respect as essential to Hip-Hop.
