Slim Jxmmi of Rae Sremmurd shared insights into the making and success of their debut album “SremmLife.” The duo’s journey began with their signing to Interscope, just as their breakout single “No Flex Zone” was on the verge of release. According to Slim, working with Mike Will Made-It was a significant milestone, given his collaborations with big names like Gucci Mane and Juicy J. The move from mixtapes to a major label led to the creation of hit tracks and highly produced music videos.

Slim reminisced about the unexpected success of “No Flex Zone,” which soared to number 36 on the Billboard 100 and went triple platinum. Their debut album, “SremmLife,” exceeded expectations, producing five double-platinum singles, including “No Type,” which peaked at number 16 on the Billboard chart. Collaborations with stars like Nicki Minaj and Pusha T further amplified their success. The album, which debuted at number five on the Billboard charts, marked Rae Sremmurd’s triumphant rise in the music.
