Mau y Ricki, Karol G, David Guetta & Sean Paul, Bad Bunny – Becky G’s list of collabos has exploded in the last year. The 21-year-old SoCal native with the Mexican roots has become a versatile performer, working both the Latin and Anglo pop realms. And her impact speaks for itself. 2017’s “Mayores” video has earned itself more than one billion views. Pop star status fits her nicely, and she’s become a role model for many fans. We asked the Manhattan Women’s Chorus to stop by and chat with with the singer about issues facing women artists, and during the chat they touched on several particulars, including always being on display, the obstacles of being a Latina, and dealing with the feeling of being overwhelmed by responsibilities.
