E-40 – A.K.A. E-40

The Bay area MC began life with the name Earl Stevens. A fan of the Sugar Hill Gang and Run-D.M.C., he began rapping in college and took on the stage name of E-40. He’s a founding member of The Click and has collaborated with everyone from Lil Jon to The Lonely Island to G-Eazy. In this episode of ‘A.K.A.’ he explains how and when he took on the E-40 moniker.
