Former NBA player Nick Young opened up about the struggles he faced after retiring from professional basketball. Reflecting on his post-NBA life, Young highlighted the emotional toll of leaving the sport he loved. Young shared that even mundane tasks became methods to cope with his depression, similar to fellow ex-NBA player Gilbert Arenas. Despite trying to stay active with fitness and pickup games, Young noted it wasn’t the same. For four years, Young grappled with these feelings. Today, however, Young is on a better path, finding new sources of happiness and purpose outside of basketball.
